Just one week before the Christmas Eve,
I've just finished the decoration of our Christmas tree at home.
Usually, children do this job, but this year, they are busy for preparing the entrance exams of Universities which start in January next year 2019.
So, I was alone setting up our Christmas tree and putting different ornaments on it ;
some I had bought in the Christmas market in Salzburg several years ago,
one special of the White House I had received from one friend having worked in the US Embassy, etc......lots of memories...
When I finished the decoration, I found an e-mail coming from friends in Italy, saying:
We wish you a Merry Christmas!!
On December 8, I was listening to the piano concert for Christmas, and a pianist, Madame Nishikawa played the Spruce of Sibelius. She explained that people believed the fairies living in the spruces.
Spruces are green all the time, even in the winter time, so it symbolize the eternal life.
I spent the New Year's Day of 2017 in Helsinki, Finland where Sibelius comes from.
The temperature was -18 C and los of snow in a short time, dark until noon, and dark after 1400pm.
The Spruce of Sibelius was harmonizing the landscape and people in Finland.
I loved it.
